Key of Hope - Dan and Rachel Smither
Durban, South Africa
Key of Hope is dedicated to providing the long term mentoring relationships these children need not only to survive, but to thrive as citizens, leaders, and disciples of Christ. The heart of our mission is to bring the life changing love of God to these children through solid Gospel teaching and tangible ways.
The DiVirgilios are missionaries sent out from New Life. They began their journey 1987 to Guatemala, where they worked with Living Water Teaching in evangelism, and as bible school teachers and directors. In 1991, God directed them to leave Guatemala and begin a work in Belgium, which they did until April of 2009. They worked with various churches, building up believers and making disciples. They planted a church in Antwerp in 1995 in the Latin American community with approximately 10 other people. When they left, it had grown to around 140 and continues to increase. From April of 2009 until November of 2011, Carl & Trish were back in Michigan helping at New Life in various capacities as they awaited further direction from the Lord for their ministry. At the end of November, 2011, they headed back to a different part of Guatemala where they ministered to various pastors & leaders of various churches. The DiVirgilios are currently state-side awaiting God's direction for further ministry.
Alpha Ministries has been planting churches for over 45 years in one of the most strategic mission fields in the world-the 1040 Window. As they look forward to the future of missions, they're looking ahead with 2020 vision. To train 100,000 Church planters in Asia by 2020 and, to plant 100,000 Churches where no Church exists. We are currently serving India, Korea, Nepal, Myanmar, Singapore, Malayasia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia & Ghana.
Pastor Lamartine was born in Haiti and immigrated to the U.S., where he worked at Ford Motor Company. Believing he was called back to Haiti for full-time mission work, he and his wife, Patricia, have planted churches and a bible school throughout Haiti. Mission teams from New Life have gone to Haiti to help in their work.
Pastors James & Rachel Krechnyak have been supported by New Life for approximately 15 years. We got to know James through his friendship with congregants here. James & Rachel were in YWAM [Youth With A Mission] ministry together. We began supporting them as young missionaries just starting out. After years of working in Ireland, they started Portlaoise Family Worship Centre(now called Life Church).
Their Mission is to develop ‘God-centered’ lives, resulting in heart-felt worship; to be a church where people can understand and experience God’s love, forgiveness and healing; to help people develop a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ; To train, equip, and release people to be ministers of the Gospel; and to be a church that is actively involved in seeing the ‘Great Commission’ fulfilled on a local, regional, national, and international level.
In 2011, they took what felt like a giant step. They resigned from the missions organization that had sent them out and started Grassroots Church Planting Ministries, with the vision to support, impart, and multiply new church plants, primarily in unreached and difficult places in Europe.
New Life has supported World Outreach, Inc., for over 30 years. Son of the famous healing evangelist, F.F. Bosworth (author of “Christ the Healer”), Bob ministered with his Dad in the U.S. and South Africa, where the Lord called him to be a missionary. Their mission: Together with Stella, his South African wife, they served the Lord for the past 55 years in Africa and internationally, reaching thousands upon thousands for Christ. On June 5, 2009, Bob Bosworth went to be with the Lord. Stella continues to be very active in ministry. A side note . . . in 1980, God put a mandate on Bob’s heart to carry the message of early morning prayer to the nations of the world. Bob and Stella came to New Life and that is how we began our Tuesday early morning prayer meeting.
